What's going on HERE?? Apparently this prediction was settled this morning: ALTHOUGH, NO PAYOUT HAS BEEN MADE and there is NO indication here of the final verdict!

I think I found the reason as to why there was no payout for some users. This market was created Fri 28th Mar 9:58am PST and I found chull's 31st Mar (published at 1pm ET) news article to be the first indication of charges filed against the parents. From what I can see, people who bet correctly got paid. Let us know otherwise. Sorry about that confusion.

In my account, this question now shows up in the Voided section! I bet correctly on this one and did NOT get paid as near as I can tell.

I haven't seen any information about charges having been filed. Last I saw the prosecutor was awaiting a final report, before deciding whether or not to file charges. Please provide a link to the information about charges having been filed.

The news article in the link provided in the settlement section, does NOT refer to this market question.

Hubdubbob created a thread in the Get Satisfaction forum about the settlement of this market.

The original link in the background information is no longer available. Here is another link to the original news story.

Here is a link to an "original" news story about Madeline Neumann.

Human error, guys. I'm really sorry. I didn't catch the 11-year-old girl part in the market question--I tried to access the link, but when that didn't work, I assumed the article that was sent to us contained the background info.

The market is now reopened and I am catching up on the Madeline Neumann case. Sorry again.

I apologize for the incorrect settlement request, I didn't realize that there was more than one 'child dying under prayer related circumstances' news story.

Here is some recent news about this story. In the story, a prosecutor plans to file charges against the parents, but it doesn't say when. So the BIG question, as related to this market question, is will parents (one or both) be charged with any crime BEFORE April 30, 2008?
