the west is considered the better overall conference. all 8 teams to make the playoffs in the west will have 50+ wins. the east will have 3 of their 8 teams with 50+ wins. the team with the most wins (Boston) is in the east. as of today (4-14-08) Detroit (eastern conference) has the second best record in the league, 1 game better than the Lakers. i'm not real sure how to start off the %'s...so if they ain't suitable hopefully the admin will fix them instead of voiding the question.
