This is probably one of the coolest questions I've ever seen.

Well, I went with Tie (2 or more "teams"). Hey, it happened after the games of the 24th, so maybe it will happen again.

But it's gotta be tie for highest to win the megabucks.

Glad you all like this one. Took forever to gather the stats and then balance the teams. Sorry for all the great players omitted. If someone else wants to create a similar question with other or more players (maybe keep it simpler in terms of stats), I say go for it.

If you want to check my stats, the tsn link is good for everything but Hat Tricks and Series Winning Goals/ Cup Winning Goals. Then the box scores for the final game have to be used (espn link or there's box scores at tsn too). Any source is good for wins. losses, and series wins. Remember it doesn't matter if a player is injured - they get these points if their team is playing.

A few things to remember if you're following this, and are planning your final strategy for this market.

It closes just before the fourth game which is on Saturday May 31.

Players on the team that wins the series will each get 11 points (SerW).

If one of the players here scores the winning goal in the final game of the playoffs, they will get 10 for the goal, 9 for the game-winner, 15 for the series winner and 50 for the cup winner. That's 84 points for 1 goal. (89 if it's in overtime). This might change the final results.

Unbelievable. From my figures. It's a tie! T2 and T6 both with 723 points. I think I'm going to have to go back and check all the players on these two "teams" both with the basic goals/assists, but also the hat tricks, game winners and series winners and short-handed goals. Right. I have spent the last few hours checking all the figures here, and they are correct. So I will ask for settlement on "Tie".

To check these stats, here's a suggestion:
1. The last three addends for each player are wins, losses, series won (times their multipliers, 5, -3, 11). NOW, because a player gets these points if his team plays even if he doesn't dress or play, it's best to check team stats at:

2. All the other stats can be found at: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/stats/byposition?pos=C,RW,LW,D&conference=NHL&year=postseason_2007&qualified=1&sort=1

For each player, you can click on their name to get a game by game breakdown of the playoffs, as well as totals. Goals, Assists, Game-winners, and short hand goal totals can be read off the totals line at the bottom. Hat tricks can be located by finding a game with 3 or more goals. Series winning goals can be located by finding a game where the player got a game winner and which game was the last of the series. (NB The games listed here do NOT include games which the player was not dressed, so you may have to compare with msnbc link to ensure it was a series winner.) To repeat, there were no players here that got the cup winning goal. Finally, and most complicated, you have the overtime goals to locate.

In general, a playoff overtime goal must be a game-winner and leave a score with a 1 goal differential in favour of the winning team. So, to find OTGs for a player, first locate a game-winning goal. Then check that your player's team won the game by exactly 1 goal. (This is all viewable on the player page.) If both conditions aren't satisfied, it's not an OTG. Finally (because yahoo doesn't list overtime wins separately although they list overtime losses) you have to click the score for the game which will take you to the stats for the game, where you can ascertain if the game-winner was in overtime.

That's it.
