House prices in the UK fell by 2.5% in March, the biggest monthly decline since September 1992, according to the Halifax (quoted by BBC.com).

It puts prices 1.1% higher than they were a year ago, the slowest annual growth rate for 12 years.

Major house price measures in the UK include the Nationwide and Halifax surveys, and official land registry figures (which are more definitive but released much later). These figures can vary widely, so settlements requests should be on the basis of the Halifax survey only please

halifax is quoted by the bbc as saying that house prices fell by 1.3% in april (month on month, not annualised) fulfilling the 'Other' option of the question
