also, what if he runs out of H$ by "dumping them on questions in a manner that..." you don't make H$?

i think his concern about being accused of cheating is a moot point. hubdub WANTS everyone to cheat. as the site is in beta, it will enable them to close down all of the loopholes before going public. there will always be someone who figures out a way to cheat but then they are only defeating themselves.
(anyone want to share some creative ways to cheat or should we make it a question as to who is the most creative)
Remember- if you don't cheat NOW then you won't know your actual standings in the future

ahhh..it's kinda simple actually..goto help and contact us and they'll delete it....and while i do love playing here, the rules are just too arbitrary and not followed

well, when they just up and change the way a question reads-without any kind of inference-and it continues to happen all the time, why should i compete...they dont even follow their own rules...one states that they will ask other uses opinions in the even of a contentious question, but someone asked a question and the entire meaning behind the question changed i.e. will hillary clinton receive delegates from michigan and florida?...background states with/without new caucuses...then ryan comes in with NO discussion whatsoever and says that only the old votes count....after his comment 3 people stated that they had read the question a different way and never mind what the questioner thought, he wasn't even invited to the non-existent conversation....when you set up rules for yourself, people expect you to follow them

the cheating thing goes back to an update they installed and as a side effect it made the percentages swing way out of whack for a couple hours and i happened to be looking at the listings at just the right time and found a bunch of question that were in the 0-5% range and wagered like 200 on each....when i woke up in the morning, after they had fixed the bug, i ended up going from like 100k upto 350k or so and i put a topic on getsatisfaction(which never got answered) about it and finally after 2 days of people bitching about me cheating in another topic, another user sent me a link to the new topic....once i explained what had happened everyone chilled out.....a simple way to cheat, if you have the money, is to play the stock market...buy in at least 3 different positions(not the most likely one at the time) and with enough money you can swing the market on your own...lets say options are 12,000-12,099 12,100-12,199 12,200-12,299 12,300-12,399 and 12,400-12,499...buy 1k in 12,200- at a low price and 1k in 12,300- at a low price....once 12,200 goes up to 40 percent, you can sell it...that'll make the percentage on all the rest go up including your 12,300 which u can then sell at a profit...u just gotta have enough money to make the market swing and u gotta do it early enough...after 2 p.m. EST it doesn't fluctuate as much...and then other people will buy in at the low points too so u can make even more money...right now there's 3 people who do the same thing...they're all optimists btw, so if the markets going down you can make more money then if it's going up

it all got very boring for me after a week or so and i started down the opening higher/lower and the "what will the tens digit be" questions

stock markets and the sports section are like when i go to casino, i might as well walk up to the door, hand whoever is standing there a $100 (real money) and go home

Pics you can't leave us, there are those of us who do this for fun, i don't care where I end up I am just glad to play the game. for those who complain about cheating I say get a life, this is for fun and has no real bearing on real life. people just need to lighten up, you are fun to talk to and great to play the game with, besides if bluesea comes back who will beat him down...don't go away...

yeah, but see, when i first heard a whisper about the revote in florida, i put money in the market, then when i heard about michigan too, i threw a whole bunch more in...then the admin comes along and says that that is not what the question means...it takes alot of fun out of the game....i posted the "where will the spy satellite hit earth" question and pulled my money out at a loss on that question too because once the government said they were going to shoot it down, someone started a topic in getsatisfaction & it was ruled that if the rocket hit the satellite the ruling would be none/blown up into tiny pieces"...by that definition, even if a piece fell down and destroyed a car it still wouldn't have hit the earth in hubdub's eyes because the rocket had already hit the satellite...this is a common occurence and i mean really, i could go around and find some little unwritten crack in almost every question and turn it into a win and the admins are helping people do that albeit unintentionally....they have some great rules and if they would just follow them it would work alot better...but to just come into a question in which the circumstances have changed and make some arbitrary judgement without any input for the bettors is not in the interest of this site and i frankly don't want to wonder if my 5k or 10k bet is going to be turned into a bonehead move and basically made to be impossible to win because of a ruling that was given after i placed my bet

Any Hubdubber can join as many factions as they want to. ;)
However, it wouldn't make sense, would it, if you joined both The Free Speech Protectorate AND The Anti Death Pool Brigade. However, there are many members of both of those. :p
Those two factions, btw, get along quite well now, actually.
Collectively, the existing factions debated many Hubdub "at-large" issues, arrived at sensible solutions, had a damn good time. Afterward, meanderingsearcher and I met and drank a whole lot of ale, made up, talked about other issues, and generally agreed that the fight was worth it. hugs-all-around, you know. :)
