When will Radiohead ANNOUNCE the release of their next album?

Not a DVD, an ALBUM, NEW Material

dude, this site might not even exist by the time this question is realized. Never tie up cash in a question beyond three months eh? The golden rules? Anyway man, I can't seem them doing dick for two years.

So, they will get back to the studio in 2009. Record the new album, prepare the promotion ... I'd say October 2009 or later.

Well, you can bet it won't be a "name your own price" thing.... they reportedly have about 60 songs already in the works for a new album....

but with saying "ANNOUNCE" you made predictions quite difficult, though. They could announce about anything just like tomorrow.

I like your input Kruijs, I didn't take into account all the aspects that you've brought forwards. I don't think as indepth on many issues and so I am thankful you expanded my ideas concerning this question. I though "Jan - Mar 09" until I read your comment Kruijs, now I'm with you, I'll bet Oct 09 :-D.
I do think that even if they "announce" an album tomorrow for say a date in Oct. 09, then that is cool too, and that is what HubDub is all about, as it is when do we think it'll be announced, not when it'll be released and so that makes it all the more fun. So if anyone thinks that they'll "announce" in the next couple weeks, then they should bet on "Before Aug 2008" and then they'll win, hehe, I love questions with wide ranging possibilities for conclusion as it makes the betting way more even instead of like 87% on one answer, really keeps the payoffs big, I LOVE IT "tocm" great job man :-D

this all came up while listening to some of my employees, all big fans of radiohead, discuss the possibility of another album being recorded because of the amount of material they have already... they might be full of crap, i don't know....but i was bored last night (see boredom question)... announcement is a way to shorten the settlement time, because if you settle based on release date, you still have to wait for the album to be released... so far, radiohead has not announced a new album, but if they go into the studio and announce that a new album will be released in 2009 or 2010, then we can settle based on when the announcement is made...

This market has been unsuspended and the suspense date moved back (a lot) as well as clarified: This market will settle as "never they quit" on announcement from the band that they have disbanded or changed their name from Radiohead. It will settle as Oct or later if they are still a band by October '09 but have not announced a new album.

I'll release an album when I'm ready!
