When will the Dow close below 10,000?
Settled as '4th quarter 2008' as DJIA closed at 9,955.50 on October 6.
Questions suspension will be set at for 4:00 PM EDT.
Background:>
The indecision on the hill cost the markets dearly and is one of the main reasons why we are so close to slipping below 10,000. Sept. 29th's 777-point drop was the biggest closing point drop ever for the index. It's widely expected that within the next week prior to a new bailout bill reaching the Congress the markets will have a wild up and down ride. If any further instability such as the errors of Sept. 29th occurred we'd certainly see another big loss which would most likely drop below 10,000, could such a situation occur once again though?
