Which of these movies will have the highest North American Box Office Weekend Gross for May 9th - 11th?

In case you were wondering lucidstates I didnt flag your previous question. It was my mistake I didnt thoroughly read question and took for granted that since most if not all your previous movie questions were for those in Opening weekend that this one was as well.
Im still betting on Iron Man in 2nd week of release to top Speed Racer or any other movie.

Man my judgement must really be off for this question. I dont think Speed Racer is going to do as well as people think. I guess Im putting too much of my own opinion of what I saw in the trailers into the equation.
What is the target audience for Speed Racer? Im in my 20s and it appears too childish for my liking.
With so much wagered for Speed Racer on this question it looks like Im outta touch - and soon outta HD$ !!

sdchargers, I agree that it looks childish but aren't family films big? I think the effects are stunning, it is a gorgeous film, absolutely colorful, but yes, it does seem childish, however, I think it could be WAYYYYY bigger than anyone is anticipating, ORRRRR, it'll be the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT of the summer, hahaha, I think this film is either a Boom or BUST but nooooo in between, so, I'm waiting to see how Iron Man fares throughout the first weekdays after it's initial opening to gauge the staying power of that film before I bet tooooo heavily on this Q.
Just my take. But overall, I think Iron Man could take it without a doubt, but I could also be wrong, so I'll be watching super closely!

Wow, Iron Man opened to potentially a top 10 EVER opening weekend!!!

Here are Thursday Preview + Fridays estimates:
#1 ... $39.600 million ... "Iron Man" (Thursday night previews brought in $5.1 million and Friday brought in $34.5 million)

So, it looks like Iron Man could possibly top $90 - $100 million this weekend! And if it drops just 50% week over week, then that means that Speed Racer will need to top $45 - $50 million to beat Iron Man next weekend.
Also, according to www.RottenTomatoes.com, Iron Man has a 95% positive rating by those who've watched the film on Thur and Fri, and that is THE HIGHEST EVER ranking for a comic book adaptation!!!
This film is gonna be big!!!!!! And I was sooooooo wrong about that :-D

Iron Man made a few thousand short of $7 million on Monday! ... We'll see how it holds up throughout the week, but that is a solid Monday number!

Iron Man made $6.1 million MORE than the #2 movie at the Box Office on Monday, so that should tell you something, hahaha, WOW what an amzing performer this has been in just 4-5 days! It now stands at nearly $109.053 million in just 4 days plus a few hours on Thursday!!!

I've seen Iron man on pirate. It's a decent no-brainer movie so I can see it being #1 till Indi comes out.

Iron Man made another $6.5 million yesterday, down a very small 6% day over day from Monday. So far this thing has very good legs!

I have it from VERY good authority that Thr night box office for Speed Racer very anemic relative to Iron Man's.

What can I say, I'm unstoppable!

FRIDAY Box Office Figures are in and IRON MAN remains #1 by nearly 2.5 - 1 in the dollar count!!!

Estimates for the 24hr Friday period:
#1 ... $14.666 million ... "Iron Man"
#2 ..... $6.731 million ... "What Happens in Vegas..."
#3 ..... $6.218 million ... "Speed Racer"

So, it will be Iron Man in the #1 spot for the second weekend in a row :-D
Now this is a significant drop from it's first Friday when it pulled in over $38 million, so a big 60% drop is quite significant and it doesn't look good for its long term success ... It should end the weekend around $40+ million, which is good, but not great considering it had the 2nd BIGGEST opening ever for a first film at about $100 million ... So, I see it definitely falling to #2 next weekend for sure! No chance against Narnia, but even Narnia won't last 2 weeks cause Indiana Jones is coming to smash the summer wide open man in just 2 weeks!

I had Super High Hopes for "Speed Racer" and was originally betting that it'd make $36 - $40 mil, but I got rid of that bet way earlier in the week as I felt it was too much of a gamble and I placed MORE money on Iron Man to be #1 ... So yeah, WOOT!!
