Did ABC ask Obama about his endorsement from Hamas?

This is an interesting question, but unfortunately the question is asked in a non-neutral manner. There are good arguments both in favor of the validity of the questions in the debate, and in opposition to those questions.

Perhaps it would have been better to cut the question off at just "issue an apology for their questions in the latest Democrat presidential debate" and put the remainder in the background section.

Questions should not be loaded with bias or personal opinion. Let the news speak for itself.

I'll have to agree with triathematician, Worded as it is, the apology would have to contain those exact phrases. I think they might apologize but it is a strech to think they will use those exact words.

Well, I'm betting on it hoping an apology about the debate is enough because I think that's coming.

I'm just rolling on the floor laughing. Doesn't anyone besides fingers see the satire/sarcasm in this market? Geez...look at the opening odds!
posted 32 weeks ago
@Erik - Its not that I don't see the sarcasm. I get your point. My problem with the market is that it only makes your point and doesn't actually predict any news. If you had asked merely "Will they apologize" then those who think that it was a good debate would have been happy to bet 'no' while others who thought the debate unfair might have liked to bet 'yes'. As worded, the question can only settle as 'no'.

I think best practice is to create neutral questions and then explain your view in the background. Your view will also color whatever starting odds you choose, but at least you allow other people their opinions as well.

nods to jenni...In re: starting odds- regardless of how the question was worded, I think it's highly unlikely there will be any appologies...and there shouldn't be.

OK OK We thought you people still wanted to know even more about Rev. Wright, that elitist Obama calling people screwed by Bush bitter, and how can we have a pres. that doesn't wear a flag pin. How were we supposed to know you wanted questions about the economy, the disaster of an occupation in Iraq, education, health care, shrinking veteran benefits, 5 time stop lossed soldiers, mercenaries, War profiteers, The Constitution, torture, wire-tapping, the new Ben & Jerry's flavor (Impeachmint), etc.. We really thought America wanted to spend 50 minutes talking about flag pins.
Sorry,
George and Chucky

I just love to watch two candidates fighting in the mud, arguing about who has the most socialistic platform.
