Will Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ : AAPL) stock close above 130$ on Tuesday 12th February 2008?

Unbelievable. Both Motley Fool and Citigroup had articles today, with Apple as a top pick...and the stock goes down. What gives?!

Apple's new product announcements this year have been lackluster. The release of Aperture 2 is irrelevant to most, the increased capacity iPhone and Touch are too little of improvements, and the optical driveless macbook air sort of blows. The gains over the last few trading days were nothing more than the sort of speculative overvaluing of stocks that makes me sick when I think of the economy. I did feel somewhat worried about my "no" position on this bet this morning, when it was reported that the apple online store was closed (meaning a new release), but I threw more H$ at it when I found out how worthless the product was (to the general public.)

^I should mention that despite their performance as of late, apple is still a top pick in the long run; but changes in the short term should be based on statements issued regarding product lines and (to a somewhat lesser extent in the case of solid companies like Apple) quarterly reports. I in no way mean to be viewed as an apple-basher.

Market saturation, perhaps?

Oh well, I'll take my H$3 and run.
