Will Apple announce a Music Subscription Service for iTunes Customers by July 7th, 2008?
Settled as No
This question asks, will Apple announce an offer for a subscription service to customers of their iTunes Music Store by July 7th, 2008, 11:59pm PST? This question is NOT asking whether Apple will offer "unlimited music along with the purchase of a new iPod or iPhone", this question asks, if Apple will offer "unlimited music for a monthly, yearly, etc. subscription fee, to any and all iTunes customers (regardless of them owning an iPod or iPhone or not) NOT not just to customers who purchase a new iPod or iPhone." ...example, Apple could offer unlimited music for $7/month, or $69/year, or whatever, to any iTunes customer. That would be a YES to this question. If Apple doesn't offer a subscription service by July 7th, 2008, then that is a NO to this question. If by July 7th, Apple offers the "unlimited music WITH a new iPod or iPhone purchase ONLY" but does NOT offer a subscription model for the rest of current iTunes users UNLESS they get a new iPod or iPhone, then this question will be settled NO. If "all iTunes users" are allowed pay for that unlimited access, then that counts as a subscription and this question gets settled YES.
Settlement details:
As reported by a major mainstream news source including www.appleinsider.com as they typically get the news "published" earlier then most media outlets due to their focus upon Apple News.

Here is the LATEST proposal from hubdub admins that they desire our say on:
Admins want a 4 strikes and your out process:
Proposed new procedure for dealing with gaming
Hubdub Representative
To date we have dealt with gaming on a case by case basis. However it has become clear that we need to have a defined process for dealing with individuals that game. Therefore this is our proposed procedure:
1. First identified instance/set of instances: Email warning
2. Second identified instance/set of instances: Email warning, user placed on public watch list (for 2 weeks) and fined 50% of worth
3. Third instance/set of instances: Email warning, user placed on public watch list (for 2 weeks) and fined down to H$1,000
4. Any subsequent instance will result in their ability to create questions removed and potentially suspension of their account.
We propose to apply this procedure for all new instances of gaming however some users are on their first warning and one user is on their second warning.
HOWEVER, several of us users are calling for a MUCH stiffer penalty process and this is our overall latest proposal back to the admins:
We want a 3 strikes you're out process:
1. First identified instance/set of instances: Email warning, user placed on public watch list (for 2 weeks) and fined 50% of worth.
2. Second instance/set of instances: Email warning, user placed on public watch list (for 2 weeks to 30 days) and fined down to H$1,000. AND removal of the gamers' right to create question for a period of time.
3. Any subsequent instance will result in definite, permanent suspension of their account, their IP and all other accounts by the gamer.
Have your say and please add your input at the area the admins have set up for this purpose:

Or at least, I'm hoping it doesn't so I can win this bet ;)
I am inclined to agree and disagree with that prediction, as I believe that you both may be absolutely correct in predicting it WON'T be before WWDC, so I concede on that, however, I do believe that at the very latest, the service ill arrive by the Macworld Expo '09.
But take my prediction with a grain of salt, I could be dead wrong even still, as my brother is like a wizard when it comes to Apple and nearly all of his predictions over the last 11 years have been dead on, while I am always wayyyy behind the curve, hahaha.

But I just noticed I misread this. The question is if it will exist by July 7th, not June 7th. So that messes me up a little :) If it's announced at WWDC and then rolls out 3 weeks later, than I lose big time.
