President Bush is in a very extended lame duck phase at this point. Congress isn't going to pass anything he asks them too, especialy a bill that involves the controversial subject of wiretaps.

But this is a lame duck Congress, and they very nearly did.
Back in December, Sen. Harry Reid buckled over the issue of Telecom immunity as the result of several petitions...like this one: http://action.firedoglake.com/page/petition/ReidDoddFISA
After I posted that question, I discovered that it had already been placed, but I think it's important enough to keep up the exposure...http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

So the Senate just passed a version that grants immunity.

This question is UNCLEAR...... a bill could be passed in 2010 and make "yes" a winning answer.....The suspend date only suspends voting, it does not specify what date the winning answer must occur by!

I agree that the suspend date, without any explanation for it, may lead to user frustration on delayed settlement. There's about H$ 20,000 on the question at the moment.

Why isn't this settled yet? I need to free up this ca$h...are you saying the suspend date is not the date of settlement?

That is why I have flagged it, there is NO settlement date

I'm going to settle this as if the suspend date was the end date, please remember especialy question creators, to include a end date in the actual market question.

Thanks,

Ryan
