Also, the credibility for her "Universal Healthcare" plan took a big hit last week, as she discovered that she can't even pay the premiums for her campaign staff...

If either Hillary or Obama screw it up even worse I don't think anyone can say "Well that's what you get for putting a _<insert gender/racial label here>_ in the White House!" because of the situation that Bush will have left the office in.
Its really a great opportunity for whichever candidate wins, as if they turn this country around, they will be a hero! If they fail, it will still somehow be Bush's fault.

Personally I think having a president who can expose himself to potential blackmail (such as "do this for my company or I expose our affair") is a breach of national security and is worthy of impeachment.
Do I care that Bill was just trying to get a little extramarital one-on-one time with an intern? Not really. Political leaders tend to be power hungry people and sexual conquests often help them support their egos. I think it comes with the territory. It doesn't make it right though, but that in itself is IMHO not an impeachable offense.
Nixon was impeached because he played a hand in breaking the law. Jimmy Carter was an unpopular and considered by many to be a weak president who made a lot of mistakes. However, he did not break the law. He was also not impeached.
Of course, being impeached isn't the end of the world...only if the impeachment is successful!
muahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
The only thing worst than bitter and clinging to religion and guns is being bitter about not having the Presidency handed to you on a silver platter you thought you were entitled to, then clinging to a campaign with no chance of victory.
I see Obama as a disruptive force in American politics. Not one disruptive to the interests of the American people -- he may be one of the few true patriots out there -- but disruptive to the corporate interests of those who wish to control the laws and those individuals who create them. He has taken no money from lobbiests, just 2,000,000+ donations from citizens, and owes few favors to any industry.
I cannot think of one industry that the Clintons DO NOT owe favors to. Bill is an interesting guy, but not a $109,000,000 interesting kind of guy. How many favors did he dole out during the 90's only to get "paid back" in bloated speaking and appearance fees?
Its also enlightening in hearing Hillary speak about how she takes credit for all the good that Bill did in office, then distances herself from unpopular things that her husband did -- like claiming to disagree about NAFTA when she was a proponent of it (watch the video!). I doubt if she will have the same luxury attempting to seperate herself from the favors and backroom dealings that it took to get her husband elected.
Politicians who disrupt the interests of the powerful have a history of being dealt with in America. Perhaps if someone decides to deal with Obama the same way that Louis T. McFadden, John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King Jr. have been dealt with, a prime opportunity would be presented to Senator Clinton.
I can't imagine her playing a role in the planning and execution of such a plan, however if it were to happen I'm sure she would do her "patriotic duty" and take his place in November. This can't possibly be what she is pinning her hopes on...however the other possible reasons for her to remain in this race are equally absurd. If it is, our political system has far more severe problems than hanging chads and disenfranchised voters to contend with.
"Hillary cites RFK assassination in explaining why she's still in race"
May 23, 2008

...
Hillary Clinton today cited the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy during the 1968 presidential campaign to explain why she was remaining in the race despite long odds.
"We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California," Clinton told the editorial board of a South Dakota newspaper.
...
Hillary is just sick.
But you are right, the Clintons are in it for Hillary, Inc., there is no low she won't stoop to in pursuit of an advantage.
