Will Hillary Clinton make her 2007 tax return public before 3/31/08 11.59pm est?

The setup wouldn't allow me to choose an end date so the admins will have to do that manually i guess. sorry guys.

With a pretty large time period untill the next prmary expect her to release them soon so as to minimize any potentialy damaging information.

Has Obama released his 2007 tax return yet? Just asking since there seems to be a bunch of media calling for Clinton's tax return. Also unless I missed something, Americans do not have to file until April 15 and that includes Clinton and Obama. I would assume that someone with the complicated nature of the Clinton's tax return (books, govt. income, speaking $, investments, etc) wouldn't file early, heck I usually don't file before April.

BTW - my commments are not directed at the question or questioner just the frenzy and guilt by accusation of the media about why she hasn't released them yet when she isn't even required to file them yet.

Yes, Obama released his a while ago. They are not required to release them until they get the nomination I think but since finances have been such an important topic of discussion this campaign season the pressure has been on. (Esp after the 5$mil loan in Jan) I'm pretty certain she said that they're done, she just doesn't feel the need to release them yet. Certainly she is under no obligation to.

My guess? They're complicated and she doesn't want the hassle of trying to explain them to people who will try to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Actually I can find no reference to Obama returning his 2007 return yet. He has released his 2006, but like Clinton I doubt that he has filed 2007 yet. If you find a reference please post. And yes I am sure the loan complicates her return at least from a technical standpoint. As I have never loaned an organization $5 mil myself, I am uncertain of the quantity of paperwork involved, but my guess is there would be a mountain.

Here's ABC news.. not as specific as I was hoping (a date of release), but hopefully clear? This is about more than just the 2007 returns -- apparently they haven't released any of them since they left office.

They have a pretty complicated income situation I think and are probably hoping to avoid having to explain it. (Not that I'm implying there's anything shady, just that its hard to explain complicated stuff well in news-sized nuggets)
