Both Democratic Candidates will need someone well-versed in military affairs to shore up the parties platform at the convention in Denver.
Jim Webb is a natural selection for this offer. Southern Senator from Virginia, former Secretary of the Navy, decorated former US Marine, well-published author of military chronicles. Talk about charm! He is truly a natural selection to counter Senator McCain's military creditials. And he would also fit well into the role of Secretary of Defense.
I'm tipping my hat to him for $H1k.
Affirmative action should apply to African-Americans only. (Sep 2006)
Voted NO on reinstating $1.15 billion funding for the COPS Program. (Mar 2007)
Voted NO on prohibiting eminent domain for use as parks or grazing land. (Dec 2007)
Focus on strategic threats like China, not Iraq. (Apr 2006)
Wrote "Women Can't Fight" in '79; now OK with military women. (Sep 2006)
Allow illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. (Jun 2006)
Voted NO on comprehensive immigration reform. (Jun 2007)
Voted NO on designating Iran's Revolutionary Guards as terrorists. (Sep 2007)
Voted YES on pulling US troops out of Iraq by March 2008. (Mar 2007)
your reporting leaves out much of the content on the site you listed.
please provide more balanced reporting, especially if you are quoting other sites.
additionally, you might find that of those items you did list, some folks may agree with them.
your discussion follows the 'mudslinging' theme forced upon us by the Democratic Nomination process, so I do not blame you for adopting it as your own.
I have always liked Jim Webb...think he is a military compliment to Obama
Again, the question said will he BECOME the VP nominee, not will he state that he won't.
