Indiana Jones and Batman will both be big -- they have a good chance, but then Harry Potter will come out in November. Given the rapid increase in ticket prices, no question. Yes.

satyaki has been busted numerous times. He continued, even after promising Hubdubbers he wouldn't cheat again.
Yet hear he is, trying to sucker you into thinking he has mended his ways.

Aren't you going overboard? You talk as if satyaki has assassinated your President or something... All he did was cheat (which 40 out of 50 school students do).

rohan this is the problem..he is wrong..again..it needs to be corrected..again..i will stop playing and let him be #1..might as well as at this point this is a mockery already..y is he still allowed to b on the site and create questions and play when he once again has proven he won't and y should people have to go through every one of his questions for which ones are cheating?..i look and see he still has all of his money and is continuing to participate..why?..but more importantly i can't believe the people running this site are letting him..he should have immediately been stopped from being allowed to participate..if something isnt done after this time im not going to waste my time anymore and then everybody will catch me

See, this may be going away from the point at hand: As much as we all like competing with others and being high on the leaderboard, the fact is that this is a news prediction site and that isn't happening. Sad, but true. What is the big deal about satyaki getting ahead of you? Does that make you a lesser being? Doe you lose respect? Or your job? If he wants to cheat, he must be stopped, but that doesn't make it a need to remove him from the website. Don't bother telling me that you have never cheated in your life (even if you do, I won't believe it). You're here to predict the news. Do that. You're here to give input. Do that. To have fun. Do that. But you're not here to be the Defence Minister or the Chief of police. You don't roam around in your neighborhood 24X7 looking for thieves, though you don't want them You report it to the police and let it be. Do that here. Mt argument may be flawed, but whatever. I'm still going to object to banning users, specially those who have reduced their gaming to a large extent. The temptation is there. Stop it, and you'll win. Trust me.

thank u for ur advice..i can say whatever i think and what i think is that the admin of this site is alienating a lot of people for one person who has been proven once again to be cheating blatantly..y should that be rewarded by being on the leaderboard and having money to have fun with..he didnt earn it he cheated for it..i don't care about me but if u think its fair to other people who are trying to get there the right way then ur wrong..i was willing to have my money adjusted for the good of the site continuing which is more important then any one account but keeping a cheating persons account will lose me and others..i can be whatver i want thank u and if i was in charge of the site i would get rid of him to keep the integrity of the site intact especially because he did it again

i'm very sorry to hear that you of all people would be defending satyaki's actions. After all, you were the hubdubber who caught him in the act this last time. why the sudden change of heart?

seems to me that once again the hubdub community will have to sort this out on their own, considering that we've yet to hear back from donal (sports editor), or any other member of the Hubdub staff.

Yes. actually, a more correct description is 'let down'. let down by satyaki, and let down by the admins on this issue. now, i'm let down by your support for this criminal. ok, i'll admit ;) that we're only talking $H here, but if he were cheating his way to game your pension fund, you'd be a bit more concerned.

@jers: rohan did not defend sd's actions as such. I think his intention is more this one: Take some pressure of from this topic. Let some minutes pass and think again.
To make one thing clear: I am not taking position for anyone here. My way to handle this is just: Unfriend. As it is obvious that sd wants to get credits from other users (by being #1, by having many friends), that is the way to let him know, you do not appreciate what he is doing. If he doesn't like the site anymore, he will leave himself (I think that's what rohan wanted to say, I do not fully agree with what rohan said though).

defending satyaki's actions: it's just that I felt going on "strike" and posting comments aren't sensible means to get what you want. But then, looking at the non-responsive staff, I think that that is the only way to go. Though I don't wanna go on strike.

I think that these measures hould be taken:
1. When questions are made which repreent local interests, by any user, then the question should be flagged and suspended. A user who actually knows something about this should be consulted and they should provide substantiated proof that the question is OK or not.
2. Satyaki: Reduce his H$ to $25,000. I don't think anything could be more bugging to him. ban him from creating more than 2 questions a week, which if voided for a gaming-related reason will lead to a fine of 25% of his wealth or double his wager, as the case may be.
3. Hubdub: become more responsive. PLEASE.

Please join the HubDubbers Strike! We are protesting the cheater known as "Satyaki" and hubdubs refusal to penalize him for artificially getting himself on the top ladder of the leader boards BY CHEATING!

Hmmmmm ... I think Indiana Jones and Harry Potter have a shot.... Batman though I think will easillllly be in the top 4 for the year, will not make the Top 5 All Time unfortunately, nor will James Bond.

Indy sucked major and will not even break $300 million! The dumb film is crap and really made me mad that they blew such an opportunity just to make a quickie movie and ruin the Indy franchise!

I think Harry Potter is our final hope for this Q for the year, even though I think Batman, Wall-E and we know Iron Man was huge, still none of these are Top 5 All Time in my opinion. NOT that I have anything at all against them, I am simply looking at the math, and it just doesn't seem likely.

But, I've been wayyyy wrong on 70% of my movie predictions in the last 1.5 months :-P

Harry potter is going to make a killing, especially since all the books are done now.

just checked the list again. All five HP movies before this one are on the list, the lowest being 21. The first movie is the highest, but the last two movies released have showed improvement with the more recent doing better, and falling at 6 just a tiny bit short of PoC. In my opinion that shows HP 6 making top 3 at least.

When I said Indy would not break $300 million, I was talking about North American Box Office returns, however, I was still WRONG! LOL ... Indy stand at like $308.224 million, so I was way wrong, but it will still not even get close to the Top 5 All Time! Now will The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Wall-E, any of these, and I think the next HP will get into say the Top 10, but certainly not the Top 5.

Btw, Indy 4 now stands just slightly behind the first Narnia film at #28 on the all time worldwide list with $743.371 million and needs another $200 million to make it to the #2 spot!! Ain't gonna happen with Indy 4.

I don't think that people realize that the Dark Knight will need to pull in $363.6 million more dollars to make this.
