Will police locate the parents who abandon their baby in a stairwell by June 1, 2008?

Background: Toronto police investigating the abandonment of an infant in a north Toronto parking garage say they're now working on the theory that child may be from the United States.

"We're exploring this possibility and seeing where it takes us: if it leads to nothing, if it has to expand … we don't know at this point. We're trying everything that we can. And until we get some information that can assist us, we're going to continue appealing to the public for their assistance," Const. Wendy Drummond told CBC News.

The abandoned baby girl was wearing a pink cotton sleeper, blue socks and a green hat when found.

So I think this story has somewhat died. All I can find is that the parents/or a parent might be American: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2008/02/01/abandoned-baby.html

Since there isn't an end date on this one, I will just set it for tomorrow, March 23, 2008. I hope no one has any objections to this!

Yes: I have an objection. As soon as the date was changed, a huge bet was placed, obviously taking advantage of this. Not fair.

Agree with previous comment.
At a minimum, the end date ought be equal to the number of days this market has been open.

"A family court judge in Toronto decided on Thursday that police should have more time to search for her biological parents before the girl is declared a ward of the Crown.

The move would make her eligible for adoption. A decision on her status is expected to be made April 23."

the comment on making this question equal to the number of day it is open seems fair

Ok, so based on newswrangler's article, the suspension date has been extended. That article came out March 7, 2008 and the only mention to the investigation is that the police are still looking. I do not want to extend the suspension date indefinitely, so I'll set it to June 1, 2008.

I initially added the suspension date because this market was floating around with hardly any activity. Lesson learned.

Also, I will void any personal bet based on this market change if anyone desires.

This is settled as yet but paid out as void. What's the problem?

If it was paid out as a void, it was because the prediction was placed after a news story broke out. All predictions are automatically voided if that occurs. Sorry!
