High levels of unrest are reported amongst teaching staff with the idea of striking so close to critical exams, which may lead to a rethink. The BBC reports the sad death this morning (5th April) of NUT General Secretary Steve Sinnott, which may add to the determination to go ahead with action.

"Voting was 75% in favour of striking, but with less than 1/3 of members striking."
That makes it sound that if the strike proceeds, it would be a partial one and more than 2/3 of the teachers would stay on the job. Is that right?
The question is, will they agree that this is a sufficient number of votes for the strike to go ahead.
