Hillary Clinton, if not selected by Obama, may receive a nomination from the floor of the convention -- at which point she would be a nominee.

While it is highly unlikely, I would like to see Hillary Clinton as VP for McCain. Man, would that stir up the pot and increase odds that McCain would win.
This would show a certain political unity between R's and D's.
They both appreciate a strong military.
Together they have a combined amount of job experience that cannot be matched.
And it would draw a higher percentage of D voters than anything else he can do.
I had the same reaction when I first read about this theory.
But can you name one other single person who could influence voters to the same degree?
To avoid a full fledged revolt, HRC would have to be adamant and persistent about her support for McCain and what they can accomplish together.
Somebody has to cross the line of demarcation that exists between the parties, so that our political process can stop being so divided.

Than again, I do not want to see Obama become our next President.
and I predict he won't become our next President either.
Half of the world and even some loyal Republicans currently hate the Republican party and the best Obama can do in the polls is a very close race with a slight lead.
