A Little Gun History

HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009

Basically this "little" piece of legislation would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
. It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail .

I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.

Obama Pushing Treaty To Ban Reloading
-- Even BB guns could be on the chopping block

Remember CANDIDATE Barack Obama? The guy who “wasn’t going to take away our guns”?

Well, guess what?

Less than 100 days into his administration, he’s never met a gun he didn’t hate.

A week ago, Obama went to Mexico, whined about the United States, and bemoaned (before the whole world) the fact that he didn’t have the political power to take away our semi-automatics. Nevertheless, that didn’t keep him from pushing additional restrictions on American gun owners.

10 soldiers & 2 civilians murdered, 31 wounded at "no-guns" Ft. Hood Army base
This story is being updated as additional details become available.
http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/6970

....
When news first breaks about yet another tragic mass shooting in this country, the minds of many gun owners go immediately to wondering whether it occured (like the vast majority do) in a "no-guns" zone, where the victims are rendered defenseless either by law or policy.

One would like to think that, of all the government-controlled properties in America that have been turned into "no-guns" victim zones, our Army bases would not be among them.

If you thought that, however, you thought wrong.

@kukuruza:

Here is an overview of Mexican gun laws http://www.davekopel.com/espanol/Mexican-Gun-Laws.htm They are already very strict. They ensure that the criminal population are the most likely to have guns, since all law-abiding citizens have many restrictions.
