A lose-lose situation?

Let's say I stake $20 on a prediction, and I can win $25 if I am correct. Before the question closes though, someone else bets the other way, causing the value (and my net worth) to go down 6 points (-6).

In this case, even if I win, I'll be losing 1 point.

Is this correct?

The value of your H$20 will fluctuate up and down as the odds change, but the amount you'll win if correct does not.

In your example you wager H$20 to win H$25. After the 6-point drop, you'll still win H$25 if correct, but if you decide to cash out early you'll only receive H$14. So if you still believe you're position will win, don't cash out.

I didn't understand the green "now worth" figures when i started playing. Its not very clear in the rules.
If lots of money is placed on the same bet as your $20, you may find that you can easily get to $25 and "cash in" without waiting for the outcome of the Question. Make sure you cash in before the suspend date. It is annoying to risk a loss, when you will only receive the same amount as cashing in if you win.

It needs to be very close to 100% for that answer that you can cash in with the same amount. If you bet you get to know (and can follow this in the dashboard and open predictions) "To win H$" . If you bet H$ 20 at 80% - than 100% may only be H$ 25 (including your bet) = you can gain 5 at cashing in at 100% or at winning with settlement. If the percantage drops tp 20% = 5H$ than you have two posibilities cashing out and losing 3/4 of your networth = -15 but you have saved at least 5. Or at settlement getting 25 back and by that making up the net worth loses or losing the last H$ 5 net worth and the bet.

Your prediction gives you a chance to get from 20 to 25 with positive settlement. If the percentage goes up you gain net worth if it goes below your buying percentage you lose net worth. If you no longer believe in the outcome cash in your loses or if you believe you have the chance to recover the net worth loses and the original winning potential of the prediction (H$ 5)
