Bush: the worst president in history?
EM -- I think you misunderstood Kruijs when welcoming our new friend from Spain. Kruijs was being sarcastic as he's recently been the victim of a lot of nastiness by wild, right-wing Europe haters on hubdub (who may or may not even love their own country but who are definitely suspicious of blacks and latinos). It's a good thing you're Spanish. If you were from Mexico you'd be dealing with outright racism. Quintxo -- say hello to Sabina, and the ghosts of Velazquez and Goya if you happen to pass through Madrid.
But EM is right. You are free to say what you want about Obama or to criticize the United States. You will be labeled a "liberal," a word which has an entirely different connotation for you. But it's no big deal, really. Welcome to the funhouse.

@Candelario I’m from México, but I live in Madrid… What is the problem with black or latinos, specially Mexicanos?
And don’t worry, I could understand Kruij’s sarcasm ;-)
I’ll give your regards to my “tocayo” in his next show here if I can be there, and I also have to go to Del Prado Museum :)
@kruijs I'm not afraid, I'm just knowing you :)

I think that Obama, being who is, and thanks to all his family history, is a man with a high self-esteem, wide culture, and “multiracial” mind and heart, which make him the right leader to direct a multicultural nation like yours, because although someone want to deny, USA it is.
With the election of Barack Obama, with his multi-cultural background, his exceptional academic record, and his knowledge of the streets, we have a president for the first time, who whatever color he might be, is one of us. Quite a contrast to Bush the Yaley who never had a job he wasn't handed, never got a grade he earned, couldn't successfully manage a baseball team in Texas, and certainly proved he was never qualified to run the country. The more Bush fades into history, and the more work Barack does, the more clear it becomes to me that he was certainly the worst piece of spit to inhabit the White House in the 20th Century. Not even Nixon was as cynical. Even Reagan was more honest (which is saying a lot). Jimmy Carter, at the very least, had a good heart and signed the only Middle East peace accord any president has ever managed, establishing a lasting peace between Isreal and Egypt.
The only real regret I feel about the era of Republicanism, which is obviously coming to an end, is that more of those sons of bitches haven't gone to prison. Ollie North, John Poindexter, Reagan, and everyone else involved with Iran Contra belong behind bars. None of the sleazy crap the Clinton's pulled compares with illegally selling rockets to Iran, our sworn enemy, to finance a secret war in Nicaragua. Reagan admitted it happened, but nobody got fired, nobody went to prison. It was sheer treason.
I have a suspicion that Barack won't go so easy on Cheney, Rumy and the other crooks and gangsters responsible for the crap that's gone down over the last eight years. Get the grand jury together.
