Colin Powell impact

I agree with you diesel. That is what makes me wonder if he should have chosen someone that could have carried the message better. I think people will look back and say I wish he would have selected so and so for his VP, that might have given him advantage.

I think McCain lost alot of valuable allies with his pick of Palin and to be certain, Powell is among them. His words will carry weight with Veterans that previously were unsure which way to go.

Many Veterans groups are already opposing McCain due to his voting record. My guess is that group just became much larger due to Powell. He is a well respected military man.
