Death markets now banned

The TV "NEWS" and "NEWS"papers do not lead off with incidental happy news, they lead off with what will increase their market share. And sad to say it is usually not about little Jimmy winning the City's Track and Field Meet. I have been to enough Newspaper Marketing Meetings to know that Circulation will always get the nod over Editorial content.

...And the TV news broadcasts and the Newspapers handle death in a way that doesn't piss off their sponsors.

Hubdub is following suit.

TV and Newspaper do not allow people to wager, even fake money, about possible future deaths. It's not really a fair comparison anyway.

it's a fair comparison if marketing and /or prediction of the news is the question. somewhere back in the last 16 pages there is a statement that part of the target market is to have newspapers include links to hubdub as a source of revenue. cool idea, but it could be a whole new can of worms as each newspaper will have their own Editorial Board. will it mean that hubdub will have to have separate "editions" to appease each and every sponsor and/or advertiser......or do they have a very specific target for their market?
which would have more participation The National Hubdub Enquirer or The Globe and Hubdub Mail?

No seperate hubdub editions, just one edition that manages to please a high enough number of partners that allows hubdub to be profitable.

with regard to NASCAR....the only reason in the WORLD i would bother to pause and watch a clip from that 'sport' would be that a devastating accident had occurred. same goes for bull fighting and that silly game retards play called running with the bulls. i take perverse pleasure in high body counts with those activities. in fact, i could sit and watch highlights of stuff like that all day long.

This just proves you can never use anything as an example without somebody forgetting the thread isn't about the thing you used for the example....

...Or in short... conspiracy2riot... this thread is not about NASCAR or any other sport. Thanks.

@ measure: in case you hadn't noticed nobody had said a peep here for over 2 months till you popped in and we all started getting notifications that this thread was active again. arguing for or against the ban is pointless as it's a done deal and widely accepted here now. also, i understand what is and isn't germane here and feel a degree of resentment in your condescending comment addressed to me. my commentary on NASCAR was simply a conversational observation born out of sqlman using it as an example.

so let me say in response, your nazi like rules do not apply to me, this thread or life in general.

good day,
