Help end racist, sexist, religious hatred, and other preducial questions

We have stopped death pools because they are offensive. There are many questions that focus on race, sex (gender), and other divisive cultural aspects of a person's heritage (including religion).

Questions like, the next supreme court justice will be: white male, Latino/Latina, etc. and/or many, many other questions where the outcome focuses on the racial and gender of the individual, rather than other less "charged" aspects of their makeup. (No criticism meant to anyone at HD) However, when we categorize people by their ethnic background and gender, we are buying into this categorization rather than the strengths, and personal differences of the people, as individuals,
so i am not so fond of such questions. I bet on some, just to follow them, but my preference is against questions of this type.

Can we do something like we have ended the death pool questions to minimize these questions, as they are essentially divisive -- against individuals and promote racism?

I can recall to have seen a blatant discriminating question for a long time, honestly. Are there some examples of questions you refer to as being offensive?

Of course we shouldn't have questions that are racist. The thing is, the questions that you describe above may focus on race, but aren't racist. There's a big difference, and though questions focusing on race may make you uncomfortable, it sounds to me like your issue. It may be your opinion that these questions are divisive and promote racism, but that's only your opinion, and in my opinion that's not true.

There should be a "don't view death pool questions" its an encroachment on our freedom of speech, were not in china(lol), although I do recognize that they may prove distasteful to some.

As I understand it, questions on death are ruled not in the interests of Hubdub (an arguable but settled point). Questions on the sentencing of unconvicted persons facing trial (and pleading not guilty), like youbet's "little Madoff" one, are prejudicial to justice and potentially defamatory, and I suggest they are "not in the interests of Hubdub". Of course, once you go down the road of voiding questions, that too may be "not in the interests of Hubdub... Now, would a question on the electoral prospects of the British National Party (which is often described as racist) be itself racist (even if the question itself were phrased inoffensively? I'm sure it could be phrase offensively!)?

Legally it is quite simple - once Hubdub starts voiding questions, it becomes an editor and publisher and is legally responsible for any material published on the site. Oh, it has. Well then, it is quite simple. Every question which is flagged as offensive should be removed, for it has offended someone. If it isn't voided at that point, it becomes the responsibility of the Hubdub site.
