Is Obama really a US citizen?

  221 chatarra
(he claims Hawaii, which is good enough for me).

Therein lies the problem.
Threshold for evidence is scant to non-existent.
My concern is not only for missing birth records, but for a preponderance of missing documents involving both school and health records.

Of course, if President Obama is also an illegal immigrant, you may be able to get him deported...
Like his Aunt was? No wait. . . She is still living here as an illegal immigrant.

I could go on, but it is pointless.

He is hiding something. . .
I feel it is my patriotic duty to stay concerned about it and not simply go along with the crowd of sheeple that has become status quo in this country.
Lengthy diatribes may make the author feel better, but they will have little effect on my due diligence.

4 Supreme Court Cases define "natural born citizen"
IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
http://www.thepostemail.com/2009/10/18/4-supreme-court-cases-define-natural-born-citizen/
The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a “natural born citizen” is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President, it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Let’s cut through all the opinion and speculation, all the “he says”, “she says”, fluff, and go right to the irrefutable, constitutional authority on all terms and phrases mentioned in the U.S. Constitution: the Supreme Court of the United States.

Virginia Attorney General Cuccinelli: ‘We gotta have proof’ that Obama is U.S. citizen
http://augustafreepress.com/2010/03/16/cuccinelli-we-gotta-have-proof-that-obama-is-u-s-citizen/

...
In the interview, the man asks Cuccinelli what can be done “about Obama and the birth-certificate thing.” Cuccinelli responds that he thinks the question of Obama’s citizenship that has been a cause celebre for the far, far right dating back to the 2008 presidential election “will get tested, in my view, when someone - when he signs a law, and someone is convicted of violating it, and one of their defenses will be, ‘It’s not a law because someone qualified to be president didn’t sign it.’”

The interviewer then interjects that the issue would be that “we are talking about the possibility that he was not born in America,” referring to Obama. “Right,” answers Cuccinelli. “But at the same time under Rule 11, Federal Rule 11, we gotta have proof of it.”

@227

Taking what you say - I haven't seen the interview - it sounds like "We gotta have proof of it" refers to evidence that Obama was _not_ born in the USA - of which you still have none.

As for 'proof' that he is a US citizen - his passport is considered conclusive evidence. As for @226, the cases and law cited go only to the distinction between a naturalised citizen and a citizen from birth. If Obama was not naturalised, then he must have been a citizen at birth (or not be a citizen at all).

Now, my kids were born in the UK - to US parents. The elder one was born before we were considered 'settled' so she had to be naturalised to become British. The younger one was born 'British' and had no need to apply. Both are also 'natural born' American citizens even though they were born 'abroad' - just like Senator McCain.

Exactly how is Obama any different from them, or McCain? Well, only one parent was American, not both. And of course, he was born in Hawaii (until and unless anyone can show otherwise!). If he were to be found somehow to be 'ineligible' to be President, it would be entirely due to the status of his father. Now, if you could show me that the Founders really meant that eligibility to be President was dependent not on the candidate's own status, but that of his father - well, it certainly would change my idea of what they thought they were doing... 'tis a wise child for sure who knows who his father is... 'specially in the days before blood tests...

Oh wait, I keep trying to apply logic. To comments by NN. Wasted effort.
