Question Creation

Sometimes I think of questions that would be interesting to pose, but I either don't have the time or ability to research the background carefully enough to create the question. Wish there was someway to put my ideas for questions out there to see if there was someone who had the necessary knowledge or understanding to create the 'perfect' question.

For example, the day after Thanksgiving is the biggest day of the Christmas sales season. Is there a source out there that tracks and compares the sales figures from previous years and would allow for settlement of this question:
How will this year's post-Thanksgiving sales results compare to those of 2007?

Anybody got ideas?

I'm thinking that mainstream media may provide this info. There has already been widespread speculation that sales will be down this Christmas season, and "Black Friday" (the day after Thanksgiving) is always the subject of news stories. However, what I don't know is whether MSM will provide data, or only anecdotes such as store manager and shopper quotes. I think this will be a great question if as you say, a settlement source exists. Maybe someone else can provide a source. BTW you might want to limit your question to the US, since Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in October and other countries don't have it at all. My 2 cents!
