Questions unsettled

In the last week we've got heaps of sport questions which are suspended, the events have passed on, results are known and settlement requests have been made.
Yet, these questions remains still unsettled although some are a whole week old since ready for settlement.
Only in my open predictions I've counted 24 such questions, I assume they are even more.
It would be good if they are cleared out.

it could be good that the combobox "See" (currently offer the choice "newest", "closing soon", "most predictors" ...) to offer a choice "waiting settlement"
It could allow people to hunt for external links for helping quick settlement by the editors..

Hey. It looks like we had a problem with the emails going to the category editor for non-US sports this week. I'm looking into it now. In the meantime I think we've caught up all the questions which had settlements requested. We have a view of questions awaiting settlement which is only available to admins - I'll give some thought to making this public since I'm not sure why it is admin-only.

Please bare with us. We're trying to make some changes by divvying up US and UK sports, in the hopes that we'll have more expertise in both areas and quicker settlements by time zones.

"Please bare with us"?!? What exactly is being suggested here?

Seriously tho, that sounds good looking forward to the quicker settlements.

There is again some congestion of unsettled football questions about the World Cup qualifiers played last weekend.
I've counted only in my open predictions 32 suspended, with known outcome, with settlement requests, ready for settlement but yet still unsettled questions. And today and tomorrow (1 Apr) there are many more qualifiers to be played.
It should be very good if these unsettled questions are cleared out.

Now, here is why you don't want to settle a question at the first news you see in the paper!

Philly paper jumps the gun on World Series congrats

A Philadelphia newspaper has apologized to readers for mistakenly running an ad congratulating the Philadelphia Phillies on winning back-to-back World Series titles.

The Yankees held a commanding 3-1 lead in the championship as of Monday, the day the ad was printed in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The three-quarter-page Macy's ad is on the back of the front section and features a T-shirt with the Phillies logo, the commissioner's trophy and the phrase "Back To Back World Series Champions."

The Inquirer released a message to readers saying the paper deeply regrets the error.
