We should be able to form teams with other users, pool money, and form partnerships.

Nothing prevents people from joining "teams". And people already form partnerships. For example someone might match another persons investment in a bet so that they both go up in value! However if they pooled money it creates an oppurtunity for them to cheat. Creating new accounts, adding them to the teams, then draining there 1000 into the team. Not to mention if the people at the top of the leaderboard pool there money then there going to have an advantage over the people without. Also if they pool then only one person gets to make bets. That makes it so that the other people sit around bored with nothing to do ruining the site for them.
