Time Changes as we move into Fall

Twice a year we run into this problem as time changes are made throughout the world at different dates. This weekend European countries changed their time, falling back one hour. Next week, the US will do the same.

But there is the reason for confusion about the closing times. Many creators, myself included, copy and update their questions from day to day, or week to week. Often the exact suspension time doesn't matter, but when dealing with daily questions creators do need to be accurate.

Standard practice for open and close questions, such as "Will the Dow open up?" is for the open questions to suspend one hour before the market opens and for the close questions they have to suspend when the market opens.

There are some other questions out there that suspend during the trading day, and they need to be adjusted in accordance with the new time as well.

Question creators need to make sure of the opening times for the market they're creating for and use the right opening times.

After a week or two, everything will calm down once all the changes have been made, but it sure would make it a lot easier for me if the question have the right suspension times to begin with.

Any questions about openings and closings, just send them my way.

Thanks again for all the questions you create!
