Thank you, dieseldog. Both Senator McCain and President-Elect Obama spoke about unity and working together to resolve the issues that face us. I sincerely pray that we all follow their lead.

i'm an american first, and a consertive american after that. i'll give "President Elect Obama" a fair chance at bringing america togeather and fixing things. only time will tell if he can break the partianship that has a tight grip on washington. the dem's can pretty much roll over the rep's now. be interesting to see how they handle all the power. the rep's had it for awhile and blew it. it's nice to live in a country where no blood was shed while electing a new leader.

It will indeed be interesting. If Obama wants to be a reformer, he now has no excuse. There will be no way to justify failed initiatives because Democrats essentially control the legislature. If Obama sincerely wants to work with the people who labeled him a socialist and the rest, he will have the opportunity to do so. We will see. I am happy that Obama has won. But I believe we should remain skeptical about all politicians.

"More important than winning the election, is governing the nation. That is the test of a political party - the acid, final test."
- Adlai Ewing Stevenson, 1900 - 1965

We've been given a magnificent opportunity and I suspect I will be even more of a pain in the ass to my Sens and Rep in these coming months and years.
