Didn't pics4d start it first?

Dear Friend, WHAT HAPPENED?? It looks like the cognos bug (lose your shirt) bit you. Did you possibly put everything on one question? I'm really distressed to see you are in such trouble. I wish there was a way that I could help you. I don't think there is any way that we can transfer money from one account to another.

Mind you, if anything goes very wrong at the Olympics, we've all had it...

I'll wish you good luck in Italian: IN BOCCA A' LUPO! You are going through the mouth of the wolf and back. The proper response is: CREPA! Drop dead.

Hi M,
they do not have a mechanism in place for giving money or any such thing, so I guess that is that... goood luck

Glad to hear you are not forlorn. And would feel badly if you went bye bye.
I too have lost lots of funds at times i didn't have a chance to work on questions and adjust predictions, etc..

well good luck and hope to see u doing better.. It all is a "sliding scale" anyway. I do not know how some people make 1 million $. I wonder where all the money comes from too.
If the money is fixed, then it would mean that to make a million, one would have to take a 1000 $ worth of money off of 1000 people. This seems incredible. Is there anyone I can ask about how this works, or do you know?

Hi meanderingsearcher

sorry to see you lost most of your wealth too!
I really like your comments , questions , etc.. Wish there were a way for us to "invest" in you.. If this is possible, I would be happy to contribute...

anyway this can be investigated?
Want me to ask? , or can you? Let them know I would like to help.

good luck, ken

DUDE!!! We made a KILLING on Big B losing. hahahaha WOOOHOOOOOOO!!! Great job man, sooo glad we can celebrate now :-D I cannot believe nearly no one listened to the odds! This was sooo improbable and so many people got nailed, lol ... I had nothing to do with this outcome, but man, I am just soooo thrilled we won dude! :-D

I, too, missed you. Glad you are back. Where are you thinking, planning on going?

I noticed you are down from your all time high. How did that happen? Take a long shot?

Well, good luck on your move.. hope your plans work out, but that you have time to still play here.
best in any case, ken

I, too, currently have one foot on the past and the other on the future, and am quite split between the two. I am making a long-distance move but having trouble selling my house...which really spreads me thin between two places. I am at a place in life where I am mostly doing this by myself, and hubdub provides welcome intellectual distraction...well, at least some of it is intellectual...lol...which is why I have missed seeing you, your questions, and wonderful perceptions on hubdub...at least, someone noticed you were missing...

I was amazed to see how many outstanding open questions you still have on hubdub! Perhaps you are "saving up" for the Olympics?

Hi Friend, You have been so quiet lately that I am concerned about you...I haven't seen new questions or comments from you in quite some time, which is sorely missed! Are you ok? Or perhaps preoccupied with something else? In any event, I wish you well and hope that you are doing something that you are enjoying...

Hi Friend meanderingsearcher! I was just thinking about it a few minutes ago and realized that I have MISSED your neat and exciting questions recently...Your questions have ALWAYS been the most interesting on hubdub, and it isn't the same without your inventive and clever questions. Also, I can't remember seeing your comments in a while. They are always perceptive and often humorous. More than once, I have sat and laughed out loud for several minutes over one of your delightful comments...Anyway, I hope you are well and happy and that I see you around on hubdub again soon. You add a lot of color to dry news. Perhaps it is nice to know that you are missed!

I just noticed a question involving what the last digit would be in the maryland lottery on a specific date..
Would you believe that # 8 had 7% (the lowest), and #5 had 17%? So, I put a few bucks on #8...
Surprising the spread!! Thought u might like to know.. It's all luck, but what the heck...

Hi Bob,

I have been away most of the weekend with a house guest, my cousin and her daughter. Lovely people. Nigel told me the satyaki thing would be sorted today. Any signs yet?

Shouldn't the question *maybe* be: will the little flame ESCAPE WITH IT'S LIFE from 700,000 rosary wielding monks...etc...

And the answer is --- WAIT FOR IT --- Can I have the envelope, please?

NOT BLOODY LIKELY.

Hi Meanderings,
As I said earlier, I am a newbie, but i was intrigued with your wide variety of interests.. I would like to view your stone? creations. I am not a facebook member. Can I see them? (on facebook or elsewhere?)
thx, K
PS.. I am an old-timer...(and physicist)...
PPS. I do not understand all this activity about Satyaki, and all that stuff... what is all that about, and how can I read up on what is going
on behind the scenes.. like it seems everyone knows...

Hi meanderingsearcher,

I liked your question about the wilkin's ice sheet and made some $H on it, when I realized that the temperatures are reversed in southern hemisphere, and what a large chunk of ice we are talking about..... (I lived in New zealand in the early 70's too, which didnt hurt)..
I shall have to look out for your other questions...
I am a newbie here; also not familiar with the "gaming" that some do..... Anyway, appreciate your having me as a friend...

no, i'm second generation canadian. the japanese has been an experience to learn as my father and grandparents were interned during the second world war. as my grandparents were embarrassed by their not being recognized as being canadian we grew up to be assimilated into canadian society. so there was no cultural aspects to my childhood. it was when i found that there is a spiritual aspect to everyones persona that they need to explore, that i found that sharing positive thought can be a fulfilling experience. ihave done galleries and juried shows but i find that it is a too closed community for my works. i am prone to giving away pieces that have meaning to someone and this does not sit well with some people. while they complain about the money that "we" could have made, it is the smile, and sometimes tears, that make the pieces have meaning for me. the stones with the japanese symbols are called "kindle stones" and they are meant to kindle a thought. when we set-up a display we always have a few done up that have sobriety on them. we don't sell them to anyone who makes light of the tought of sobriety as being a positive thought. but if someone wants one , because they understand the meaning of the thought, then we give them the stone as the have already paid the price.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful carvings with me! I actually signed up with myspace just to see them, and it was worth it...I particularly liked "power of speach" and "walking away together". Your Japanese written characters are quite beautiful; I presume you were born in Japan. Today I'm an art collector, but I have also been an amateur artist. (I have had four one-man shows: two in the middle east and two in South Africa). I lived overseas for twenty-eight years...

Beautiful contemporary pieces. I found beautiful soapstone pieces in Southern Africa from Rhodesia, the former Zimbabwe. Do you know where these were carved?
sent 21 weeks ago

this was a piece which I named "together", it is the first of a four part series of soapstone carvings. the series was named after the four pieces "Together, Azwun, wee'R', Walking away together" The new one up today is "Azwun" I named this piece as when a couple are "together" they are never closer than when they are pregnant, hence "Azwun"

"darn chicken pooped on my keyboard again"...Best Laugh I have had in weeks!!

Young-uns don't realize that where you are today is an accumulation of your past, great and sad experience and relationships, all of which contribute to the real you, here and now. They are still hung up on success and failure, competition and jealousy...and are still moving towards life's greatest adventure.

"slowly meandering around with no apparent goal" is an astute disguise for the truly perceptive...

I think you have changed your avatar again. May I ask you to describe this one for me? Thanks.

Twas' the night before New Quarter
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even all those nice Scottish Lads and Lasses in a different timezone who sleep while all the really neat stuff happens on American tv, although they never seem to miss the superbowl or debates LIVE...

I hope that JOLLY OLD SAINT NEW QUARTER is good to you!

Season's Greetings and Best Wishes
