Which will be the FINAL, winning throw in the finals of the International Championship in Beijing?

Settled as Scissors Win

"'For my final throw I chose scissors."
http://www.rte.ie/news/2008/0502/rockpaperscissors.html

Background:

The International Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship is scheduled (official date TBD) to be held during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics (who would have thought it?!).

Champions from the US, Canada, Guam, Hong Kong, and Ireland will compete for global recognition as the world’s best Rock Paper Scissors player.

________________

While I've searched everywhere trying to find an official date for the event, the best I have found was "during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics," so I'm hoping to change the suspend time to just prior to the event, once announced.

Aren't these matches usually best out of 3? Are we asking what will be the winning move, in the deciding game.

@destry. Good point. Guess I had hoped that the wording was sufficient, but probably should have clarified in details. So...yes, the question refers to the winning move. If the question needs to be edited or redone, please let me know (however, I'm hoping that "which will win the championship" will suffice.

The event you've all been waiting for is finally here! (okay, so it's a second runner up to the hot dog eating contest).

Event is Sat 8pm Beijing time.

I reckon it will be Paper! Always the unexpected but mighty move ;-)

I remember seeing a clip about this competition once - there's lingo and everything for the tactics they use. But they still admit that it's totally just a game of chance!

Don't know yet what the winning throw was, but do know the medal winners.

@hubdubbob and others - I have been trying very hard to find a link with settlement details. In fact, newswrangler has been a huge help and has even written one of the reporters on this in efforts of getting the settlement information.

If anyone finds something, please let me know.

hmm.... Even though I won, I don't agree. I read all the articles as saying that he used scissors to win the Irish bout that got him to the Olympics, not the final Olympics gold results... Can't any of you on that side of the pond call him? This is a silly debate, but that's part of the joy of Hubdub's diversity!

i found several news articles, but none seem to spell it out.... there are only references to "a cut above" or "Smashing"..... and that second settlement link is from may, wayy before the competition

I have also spent a great deal of time trying to find an "official" settlement link. One of our Super Users even wrote to the author of one of the stories, but did not hear back. Most of the links that I've found have suggested scissors. If someone finds a better link, I'd be glad to resettle.

I lost H$ on this myself...for whatever that's worth.
