Will a member of McCain's staff resign after a racially charged comment?

During the Hilliary Campaign Ms. Ferraro said that Obama wouldnt be in the position he was in today if he wasn't black and this ruined her carrer. Does a major mainstream news source have to report said comment as such? Using the descriptive, racially charged comment, in their copy?
As Jenni said the important part of the market is that whatever resignation occurs from the McCain camp it is reported as being caused by some sort of racist comment / action. Hope this clears it up.
