Background:

Background: Nikki Finke is stepping in early to predict that the Warner Bros' remake of The Women will storm the box office on its opening weekend.

On June 2, Finke posted on her blog that The Women could ride the waves of Sex and the City's box office success with some savvy sex-ploitative marketing. Warner Bros execs have apparently been listening, and have now tripled the initial marketing budget.

The Women stars Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Bette Midler and Jada Pinkett-Smith. It is currently due for release on September 12.

Settlement details:As reported by www.imdb.com. US domestic weekend gross, as per The Rules regarding Hubdub box office questions.
