Will Balm Beach fence suffer more destruction before Oct. 14?
Settled as Yes
http://www.thestar.com/News/Ontario/article/467107
It's been set on fire.
Background:>
Wasaga Beach is the longest freshwater beach in the world. It includes a portion at the town of Balm Beach. Since 2006 it has been divided by contention created by a fence. A video explaining it's history is here:
http://www.achannel.ca/home/news_46650.aspx
It has already fell victim to graffiti and now this Canada Day long weekend a disappearing chainsaw brought cheers as it was used to take down a portion of it. Story here:
http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/451594
October 13 is the last day of the Labour day long weekend (the unofficial end of Canadian summers)
The fence can be seen pre-completion on Google Maps here:
