Background:
Wasaga Beach is the longest freshwater beach in the world. It includes a portion at the town of Balm Beach. Since 2006 it has been divided by contention created by a fence. A video explaining it's history is here:

It has already fell victim to graffiti and now this Canada Day long weekend a disappearing chainsaw brought cheers as it was used to take down a portion of it. Story here:

That's not Labour Day. Labour Day is September 1. This looks like Canadian Thanksgiving to me.
