The "faceless couple" is a car.

"who are those faceless people at Wimbledon and Henley and Harrods? The latest exercise in stunt marketing treated British tennis goers etc. to a mute and faceless couple, dressed in dark suits. Creepy, actually. The countdown clock revealing the "true character" of the stunt expired Tuesday morning with the opening of the British International Motor Show and the unveiling of the latest sports coupe from Lotus, the Evora. She's very pretty. But how effective was the "stunt"? As a teaser, facelessness seems awfully generic, if eye-catching. I like Tony Chapman's idea that it would have worked well for an employment service. For a car? I'm not so sure. You can rev the new Evora online at

I see the possibility of a problem here. From the Daily Mail piece, it's not definite that this is just one couple. So settlement could be a real problem with the question phrased as is.

@ infernalmachine, honestly, this occurs to me now also, clearly different hair is involved. What would you think about a void and a repost that looked something like this... Will true identity of ANY 'faceless' persons recently seen at UK public events by made public during July?

@Infernalmachine, I can see your point.

Although there may be multiple persons involved, there still is only one 'faceless couple', so I think this question is ok.

But just to clarify - this question will settle, regardless of how many people have been playing the 'faceless couple'.

So, as I understand this clarification, any two kids/people (in the UK?) could now "disguise" themselves as the "faceless couple" (similar to what happens at Halloween) -- and then "reveal themselves", thus settling this question.
