Settled as Hitler returns to museum in September, 08

Hitler wax figure back on display Sat. 13/08

Background:

OK...so Madame Tussauds' was able to bring Hitler back to Berlin, but only for a short time, as he was 'beheaded' on the opening day.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25540602/

Museum employee Stephan Koch said the damaged figure has been removed for now, but the museum remained open. Museum official Nathalie Ruoss said organizers would decide Monday what to do about the figure.

So what will they do, and will Hitler return to the Berlin museum?

Any form of display that can be seen by the public counts as a return to the museum....

This could actually be an elegant way to get rid of this controversial: "Uhm damage is so big, cost too much, will not be on display no more. Sorry."

"The attacker, identified only as Frank L. of the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, told the daily BZ tabloid that he was outraged the statue was on display so close to the Holocaust memorial on the Unter den Linden boulevard."

He seems to miss the part about denying the history of what happened being far more offensive than a wax figure. These figures are designed to capture important figures and moments in history and IMO the Hitler figure being absent from display in a German Museum is far more offensive than what this fellow perceives of it being there, since it's absence is ignoring the truth of what happened.

I completely agree: Closing your eyes isn't ever a way to handle human mistakes in history.
