I'm not going to suspend this, but I have sent the following flag -- you'd think someone wanting to be a category editor would know better... :)

"I'm amused.. but this might fall under the 'not newsworthy' category and we CERTAINLY don't want a bunch of copycat markets. (And if you do allow it to run, it should be under tech/hubdub)"

I think you need a little more than a weeks experience. What do the rest of the regular users think??? Post a few comments. Thanks, Tom.

Market looks good to me. Great picture BTW.

oh yeah. 1 full week on hubdub and already, seven active predictions, four successfully created questions, five if you count this one.
English grammar and spelling really shines through on this question.
And the grammar, capitalization, AND spelling contained in your question ...
http://www.hubdub.com/m10511/Will_Knights_of_The_Old_Republic_3_Be_Announced_before_the_end_of_2008
should be enough. No resume needed.

I can't comment about the starting odds on this one. I will leave it to the market to decide that.

I am just tiring to make things interesting. don't be mad that someone with only a week on Hubdub came up with a much better question than your sports questions, I mean I love sports to, but it's not very original. it's not going to drive outside users to Hubdub. I don't apologize for my awesomeness.

yeah, you're right. you're much more interesting and i bow to your 'awesomeness'.

absolutely. a question about whether some user named skins is going to get a job, is much more interesting than anything i can come up with. oh, and the originality, i'm sure, will attract nigel's attention even more.

come on guys...its all in good fun. skins didn't post to make people mad. He posted something funny. take it as such. bet on it! have a laugh. who knows he might get the job, it might become viral and draw more people to the site--who knows...

I'm new here, so what do I know. I can't even tell sarcasm through text so I assume that you do bow down to skins' awesomeness. see? I can take things way to seriously too.

@lordpalmer
i prefer burritos (just to be contentious) ;(
@victorhugo
i do bow down to his awesomeness. skins seems like a fun guy, seems very interested in the site, and yes, this question is fun!
@skins
you are going to have to deal with these types of comments from others, if you are to be a catEd. i am not applying, nor do i have any say in who gets hired. and i glad. because i'm pretty awful when it comes to making 'people' decisions. having said that, i still wish you the best of luck, and this simple advice ...

these pages and the questions, your actions, and how you respond to comments are ultimately going to detemine whether or not you get the gig. (or at least that's a big part of it).

Welcome to the site Skins!
I agree with cognos about getting used to the comments and being able to respond appropriately. I've seen some very heated discussions in some of these comments and there are definitely some strong and differing opinions. It's all in fun though (well, MOST of it)! :)

Everyone has preferences with types of questions and I am a big sports fan (so thank cognos for his plentiful sports questions). Have to admit that I've done pretty well on this question so far too (not that I don't wish you luck on the job).

Okay, I'm in the mood for a taco now...

After reading these comments it doesn't seem likely to me. not enough experience with rules and making waves with long time users isn't helping much.

If anyone has a digg account (or can take all of 2 seconds to get one) this market has been submitted to digg. Just click on the little 'digg' icon under the graph to digg it up.

I think it will all depend on how many applications Nigel gets... 6 long time users with high settlement odds and low flame war history might edge him out. On the other hand, enthusiasm goes a long way and the current admins didn't have any experience when they started either. I thought no was a good buy yesterday, but now I'm switching over to buy some yes.

Best of luck skins. Remember the little people if you become one of the gods.

Wow! It seems like there are several people looking to get ahead in life without tons of experience in the job they are going for. Your wife's name wouldn't be Cindy or Michelle by any chance?

Skins, you did manage to have one of the more active questions and lots of activity with this question.

And, you still have a day before this suspends to convince everyone otherwise! Seemed like this question (with some of the comments and feedback) was a good opportunity to do that.

I am sad to report I didn't recieve the job. Thank you to the few of you guys that had faith in me and sorry I lost your money.

Sorry Skins! With 27 applications I think the competition was pretty tight. Keep playing, you never know when they'll be hiring again. And how many other job applications are bolstered playing games all day long? :)
