Will Jesse Jackson make any campaign appearances with Obama before November?
Giraldo Rivera thinks Jesse Jackson was just jealous of Obama's rise to fame (Jackson tried to times to run for President), whatever Jackson's reasons for the statement. The main conflict appears to be that Jackson tends to push the societal effects that cause many "black problems." Obama's earlier statement talking down to black fathers who leave their children, is what annoyed Jackson. [Ryan Jacobs]
Many commentators think it will actually helps Obama with moderate voters. If a polarizing figure like Jackson doesn't like Obama, it is thought voters won't think Obama is a polarizing figure. Therefore they'll be more inclined to vote for him. Obama can't be seen by independents and blue leaning republicans as liberal, and campaigning with a polarizing civil rights figure such as Jackson would negate any ground gained on Obama's perceived centrist, uniter persona. [Ryan Jacobs]
SO...will Obama have Jesse Jackson appear with him at any campaign appearances? Does not include photo-ops, must be appearances where at least one of them speaks to a crowd of people.
