Crocker vs Phelps: Who will win Gold in the 100m Fly?

Background: In Michael Phelps' quest for eight gold medals, there is one event where his dominance has been challenged, consistently and convincingly, by U.S. teammate Ian Crocker. Of the five individual events Phelps must win, the 100m butterfly is the only one where he doesn't own the world record.

"I think Michael and I, we have a rivalry but it's very healthy," Crocker said.

To call it a rivalry doesn't quite describe the dynamic behind the race, or the competitors. Both Phelps and Crocker are quick to tell you they hate to lose -- and they've each felt the disappointment of losing, in front of the world, by hundredths of a second.

do either of these guys wear those sleek new suits?

Both do -- team USA has been in negotiations with alll the other swimming manufacturers to make sure that ALL of the Americans are wearing LZRs for the Olympics. There are a couple of high profile cases of the manufacturers not neccessarily going along, but they're all wearing them (TYR and Vendt). I'm pretty sure Australia is as well. (At least all the big players)
