Will Rutger's unmanned "Yellow Submarine" reach its intended destination before Dec 31, 2008?

Voided as per question creator's request
Background:>
On May 21, 2008, a crew of Rutgers students and engineers launched an unmanned underwater sub / glider off the coast of New Jersey. Its intended destination is Cape Touriñán, Galicia (the Westernmost point of Spain), which is a distance of about 5,323 kilometers (or 3,308 miles), "as the crow flies". It basically travels using the flow of the ocean's currents.
On the trip, it is focusing on the temperature and salinity of the ocean, but all sorts of sensors can be attached to make various scientific measurements. Also, the goal is education – entraining students.
At the posting of this question the glider had completed 44.8% of its trip in 53 days at sea. This is no guarantee of future travel rate, as it is at the mercy of the ocean's currents, etc. I've seen estimates of 6 to 8 months to complete the trip.
The subject of the question is interesting (at least to me). Read the very interesting articles, etc. at the links below.
