102 at the end of the day, two days left. 6 more is guaranteed: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, men's water polo, men 4x400 relay (pending any baton issues but 4x400 baton changing is much easier and generally without drama). 2 more is very probable: women 4x400 relay, baseball bronze. That gets us to 110 medals. The 9th one may come from the bikers. Women's high jump or women's sync. swimming may also provide a surprize. Considering both men's and women's 4x100 relay team dropped the baton, 111 was indeed very achievable going into the final days. Since I have a bunch of money on the last option which will pay very handsomely, I'll be rooting for the USA at those possible 9th medal events proving how hubdub may change a person (sorry American friends, nothing personal).
