Will any Olympians be asked to leave early for any of these violations before closing ceremonies?
While one athlete was asked to leave for a failed drug test: http://multimedia.olympic.org/pdf/en_report_1355.pdf
...no reports of olympians being asked to leave for the listed violations were found nor reported.
Background:>
This will settle for a Yes in the # 2 option if a participating athlete is asked to leave the country early for one or more of the specific reasons included below.
This market will settle for a Yes for the 3rd option, if it is reported from China that an Olympic athlete left the games prematurely due to ANY OTHER reason, but then after the athlete is safely home the athlete explains that a rule violation forced their early departure.
This list of prohibited things and actions taken from the "Spectators House Rules" along with a "Good Habit for a Good Games" campaign published by Chinese authorities today.

heh heh heh...
China is very concerned with an orderly Olympics. Rules continue to be published about what is and isn't expected behaviorally. The world's best athletes are all converging there, and for many of them this is the pinnacle of their career and many will go from obscurity to fame instantly. If any of the Olympic athletes act up and cause their hosts to lose face, will they be asked to leave early prior to when they would have otherwise left?
Are there separate/different rules that apply to the athletes? Is there anything that intimates any of these rules apply to athletes?
Valid points, although I don't think it's a problem, all my reading on the Olympics this summer indicates that China is going to GREAT lengths to ensure that everything is orderly and controlled. I think the same rules will apply for all 'guests' spectators and athletes, beyond that it is often observed that athletes themselves are in the stands cheering on other athletes at events they themselves are not participating in.
i can not imagine that this olympics will be absolutely 'rule-abiding', even in this communist nation.
i don't think the Chinese will publicize the 'leaving' of any atheletes during the games.
i not sure whether or not they will 'hold' any offenders until the games are over, in an attempt to 'not lose face' during the games.
amazingly, there is no mention of 'drug abuse' in their rules. opium anyone?
the list itself kinda smacks of human-rights violations in and of itself.
any foreigners who drink alcohol over there best be careful. their alcohol is way more potent than what we are used to.
