The fun part of this market is figuring out how many of these records will be broken. It appears that Yearly 2008, All Time US Top 20, Top 10 Day grosses are almost guaranteed, the worldwide yearly has a LONG way to go yet.
posted 16 weeks ago
Could not possibly be less clear. "All Time US Top 20" would usually denote entering the all time US Top 20, not being the top all time movie.

I think this market read fine, but actually if number 2 'all time US top 20' meant beat Titanic at number 1, not just enter the list, then the starting odds would have been off (as the supers have rightly pointed out).

So we will have to interpret this market to mean whether Dark Knight will enter the US top 20 list at all, rather than beat Titanic as number 1 on this list. Ie - to satisfy breaking Record No. 2 on the list, Dark Knight only has to feature on the US Top 20 list, not be the top of it.

Sorry for the confusion

Was this question changed? In the next 2 weekends?
posted 16 weeks ago
I don't think so. I think its always covered the first three weekends of release.

BTW I just pushed back the suspend date one day. Box office questions should suspend at 5pm PDT on Friday night to allow max betting before the estimates start coming in over the weekend.

No timmstifter, the question is the same.
And thank you jenni!

Just FYI:

1 - Yearly 2008(now held by The Dark Knight with $394,887,000 and counting) - OK
2 - All Time US Top 20(ENTERED - current position: 8) - OK
3 - Top 10-Day Grosses(now held by The Dark Knight with $313,781,677) - OK
4 - Worldwide Yearly 2008(currently held by Indiana Jones with $744.4 worldwide, The Dark Knight position number 3) - Not broken

If The Dark Knight doesn't reach $744.5 worldwide today, the question will settle as "A combination of 3 listed above"
