So... 4 years? They're all guaranteed to live at least 4 more years? can you write a question on whether me or some other people will die and set the suspend at 85 years?

hey man, I don't know when they will die! I'm just giving it some time, if they kick it early, we suspend and settle up!

Well, I hope Bea Arthur, Betty White, nor Rue McClanahan visit Hubdub. I believe they would be saddened to think their life and career has come to this.... a question about which one of them will die next.

another reason 'death pools' are such a touchy subject to 'most' people.

Betty White is too healthy, living on good farm cheese. Bea Arthur is going to star in another fabulous Broadway Show, and Rue McClanahan will stay young trying to teach her beaux how to spell her name:

This question should be voided. There is NO "other" option. They are going to live forever...(what a dumb thing to wait for).

Lets make a new question! How much money will this question make! then make a question about how much money that question will make

@dragon - I know you were kidding, but just a reminder that those type of questions aren't allowed as they're entirely too gameable.

Gameable? what do you mean gameable?

@dragon...gameable as in easy to manipulate. say a question asks...how much will be wagered on this? people with lots of money could game-manipulate the question. jenni will explain it better if she see's your comment. have a nice day.

Actually, I think diesel did a very good job of explaining it. Basically, if a user can directly influence the settlement of a question then its gameable. i.e. "How much money will be put on this question"? Those of us with a lot of money sitting around could dump large sums of h$ into the market and swing it to match our bets (and then make lots of illicit funds). We want to make sure people are making money for predicting the news, not manipulating the markets. Hope thats clear?
