Which blasts more 7/1-12/31 '08... hurricanes landfall on US or Space Shuttle launches?

Background:

Here is what I'm asking... Which will be the larger number... the number of Space Shuttle launches between 7/1/08 - 12/31/08 inclusive, or the number of named Hurricanes whose eyes cross a US state beach?

Earlier today Hurricane Dolly came ashore in Texas and there are three scheduled Space Shuttle launches scheduled for the balance of the year:

28 August: Atlantis (STS-125) to service the Hubble Space Telescope

16 October: Endeavour (STS-126) to deliver equipment to the International Space Station

4 December: Discovery (STS-119) to deliver the final set of solar arrays to the station

In simple terms will there be more hurricanes blowing in, or more shuttle launches blasting off?

If there are NO shuttle launches July - Dec 2008, then the first option will win by default, at least one named Hurricane, Dolly, has already made landfall during this period.

Actually, there are only two shuttle missions scheduled for the rest of this year: Hubble service mission (STS-125) is planned for Oct 8 and STS-126 is for Nov 10.
STS-119 is delayed and is scheduled for Feb 12 2009.
