I'm flagging the Category Editor to see if the Suspend Date ought be changed...
My intent for this market
'Yes' - indictment does not cause Stevens to pull-out.
'No' - the indictment causes him to step aside, making room for another Republican.
To settle as 'Yes', he must step-aside on his own, or be forced to do so by his caucus.
What do others think?
That said, Stevens is currently "running for re-election"...
What if Stevens decides to wait-it-out for less than a month, and see how the primary turns out?
In that scenario, if he loses the primary, he wouldn't be "stepping aside on his own", nor would he (any longer) be "running for re-election".
One suggestion: have the question be something like, "Will Stevens announce he won't run for re-election before the primary?" If he doesn't announce, and wins next month, then there can be another question...
Just a thought ...
Well, I certainly flubbed up this market.
I'm going request a void. Once done, I'll resubmit using better terms.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Writing to "predict the news" is an entirely different process than "reporting the news" ;-)
