Will there be another 109 yd or greater play during the upcoming NFL season?
Current forecast: 6% chance

Combining all predictions, the current forecast is that this is 6% likely to happen (unchanged in last 1 day)
It COULD happen, but it will be incredible if it does. My previous question/background information seemed to be in conflict by the way I presented them. Sorry 'bout that.
Last year Antonio Cromartie, cornerback for the Chargers caught a ball in a game against the Vikings on 11/3/07, it was in play because it had been kicked as a field goal attempt but was short, he was within inches of being out of bounds but this incredible athlete had the presence of mind to stay in bounds, bolt for the sideline, run the entire field of play, including the 9 yards deep in the end zone that he started from and score a touchdown. It's never been done before, from THAT yardage and the only way that this record will be beaten is if/when a player is a few MORE inches closer to the back of the end zone at the start of the play.
Watch the video, and tell me this doesn't give you goosebumps, even if you're not an avid football fan, you can appreciate this incredible play. Watch it till the end, at about 2:08 you can see how close his foot is to going out of bounds, less than the width of his foot to being out of play!

And I know, this picture is not from the same game, but What a catch!!!

is for football, the 49ers are in the thick of it. If the NFL were the BCS, the NFC East would be the Southeastern Conference ... and the NFC West would be the Central Coast Section. Some numbing numbers: NON-DIVISION RECORDS NFC East 10-1 AFC East 8-3
