However, it certainly had one - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/olympics/2509979/Beijing-Olympics-Typhoon-strikes-equestrian-venue-in-Hong-Kong.html, and according to http://equisearch.com/equiwire_news/olympics2008/olympic_wrapup_082508/ there were other ones including Typhoon Nuri but they strucky just before and just after the Olympics. Nuri was a close call for the final equestrian events but held off just long enough. So I think it can be settled as just 1.

Only one Typhoon affected the Olympics while the Olympics were in session. Immediately after the Olympics ended Typhoon Nuri hit Hong Kong but the Equestrian events had already concluded as stated here: http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia-pacific/2008/08/2008822181815404668.html
